Imagine you are going to a big special event and of course you want to look your best. Right? Well if you choose to get your makeup up do you expect to natural and beautiful not clown looking or drag queen and neither does your guests. If you were to show up looking like a clown or a drag queen it would be indecorous because that's not what your guests or audience would expect you to look like. Decorum, according to Thank You for Arguing is the audience’s expectations for a leader’s love, appearance, and manners. (47 TYFA) YouTube Beauty Gurus are here to guide the learners in the right way, so they will not be indecorous when it comes to applying makeup.
The picture above is Jackie Aina. She did a video on the do’s and don'ts of makeup (link). As you can see on the right side of her face she has overly drawn eyebrows and foundation that is to light for her skin. When applying makeup it's all about skin tone, a red lip on a light-skinned person is not going to be the same on a dark-skinned person. Makeup is fun and creative, but when applied correctly it is supposed to look natural and beat or flawless. Even though some people refer to the right side of the face to be flawless it’s considered indecorous in the world of a MUA or Makeup Artist.
The video above is a makeup tutorial by Nelly Toledo. While taking brushes and fun colors in a palette, or where the colors are packaged, is fun it takes patience and time. Now, you’re probably not going to master this look on the first try unless you’re a professional, but watching this concept over and over will teach you a lot. This concept is decorum because I expect her to provide makeup tutorials. She provides these tutorials once every week to further knowledge learners who may want to become a MUA one day. YouTube Beauty Gurus are very interesting to watch and provide a lot of info on makeup, clothing, and hair.
Overall, YouTube Beauty Gurus are the reason why I love and can do a full face of makeup today. While constantly watching their videos like its reality television, LOL it has also been the basis to my knowledge of makeup, clothes, and hair.
